Founder & Bereavement Doula
Anna’s Hummingbird Perinatal Bereavement Loss Support
My name is Kristina, and I am a Haven-trained Bereavement Doula dedicated to supporting families through the profound experience of miscarriage, stillbirth, life-limiting perinatal diagnoses, and infant loss.
As a non-medical professional, I provide compassionate, non-judgmental, and grief-informed support tailored to each unique journey. I provide a comforting presence and support during the post-birth period. The post-birth period involves overwhelming choices, and my goal is to provide a sense of control to families and be their advocate as they navigate difficult decisions and help them make lasting memories with their baby.
My Story
I am a trained Haven Bereavement Doula currently working toward full certification, and I hold a B.A. in Psychology. My path to becoming a doula was inspired by the heartbreaking loss of my daughter, Anna, at 34 weeks gestation. Going through this experience showed me just how crucial it is to have access to dedicated resources and compassionate support.
Bereavement Doula Role
My personal journey, combined with my research background at UCCS studying how support and access to resources relate to one's wellbeing, fuels my deep dedication to supporting families experiencing perinatal and early infant loss. I am here to walk alongside you, offering the space and resources you need.

Grief-informed Companion Care
Education/Training: I am a grief-informed Haven trained bereavement doula with additional training in lactation support after loss.
My Philosophy: I walk alongside the client rather than directing their journey. I believe true support involves a network of people coming together to help a family navigate the loss of a little one.
Ethical Standards: Operating under the Haven ethical standard that a doula should never be a family's sole support system. I believe true healing happens within a multi-layered network of people.
