Birth is birth, no matter how it unfolds. This seminar provides the critical tools needed to quickly pivot your role from managing a traditional birth plan to guarding a family's emotional space the moment a crisis hits.

Grief-Informed Communication

  • The practical do’s and don’ts of speaking with parents during a crisis.

  • We will focus on using grounded, supportive language that comforts rather than triggers.

Real-Time Care & Hospital Rules

  • Learning how to gently offer memory-making ideas without making assumptions.

  • Respecting diverse cultures, traditions, and individual family grieving styles.

  • Handling hospital policies effectively while maintaining a supportive presence.

Protecting Your Boundaries & Scope

  • Recognizing the warning signs of complex grief in families.

  • Implementing strategies to protect your own mental and emotional well-being.

  • Knowing when and how to hand care over to specialized professionals.
